![]() ![]() Place/ Team/ Number of fish/ Total weight I actually not sure if that was bad luck or timing because that was the place to be on Saturday (wink, wink).īecause this is a 2 day tournament, teams were anxious to see where they placed so they could start to plan their spots for Sunday’s finally. Well one of of our didn’t make it across because they got stuck in the London Bridge channel hour plus traffic. ![]() That boat ride left many of us wet and sore! 3pm came and we all successfully made it to our weigh in at the Old Havasu Landing Casino. The wind combined with up to 204 mph boats not only caused choppy water for a very wet and rough boat ride, it pretty much washed away any hopes of finding any bedding fish. What we didn’t expect was wind that blew all day with gusts up to 20mph. I think our early departure helped us all avoid the Sh!t Show that we expected from the Desert Storm Poker Run and all of it’s spectators. Saturday’s Derby Day started with a surprisingly smooth launch. I don’t think any of us were disappointed with either. Teams started showing up as early as Wednesday to pre-fish and start the nightly routines of adult beverages and great dinners. Well the new season is upon us and it looks like we all renewed our Costco cards, because Lake Havasu was serving up fish in bulk. ![]()
